Comes in original wood box without the cover. On both sides of the box it says Heckinger. There is a also a black stain by the Heckinger name. On the front of the box it says ‘Commercial Woods of the United States Heckinger National Lumbers Manufactures Association Washington DC’. This vintage Commercial Woods of the United States sample set was made for the National Lumber Manufacturers Association. They all have numbers etched in on the ends numbered 1-48, but #28 is missing, and 4-5 of the wood samples’ information stickers are torn or damaged. This is a fascinating history for anyone who works or has worked in the Forest Industry. Please see all photos and read full description prior to purchase.
